This ring is hand-made in our studio at the time of order in sterling silver or 14kt gold-filled . The medallion is 12mm. This quality ring is very durable and will wear very well with appropriate care.
What is gold-fill:
Gold-filled jewelry is jewelry composed of a solid layer of gold, mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or some other base metal.
Most high-quality gold-filled pieces have the same appearance as high carat gold, and gold-filled items, even with daily wear, can last 10 to 30 years. The layer of gold on gold-filled items is 5 to 10 times thicker than that produced by regular gold plating, and 15 to 25 times thicker than that produced by gold electroplate.
To make gold-fill jewelry, multiple layers of solid gold are pressure-bonded to a core of high-quality jeweler’s brass using extreme heat. (Industry standards dictate that your piece must be 5% solid gold by weight.) The result is a thick layer of real gold and a durable, long-lasting product. Gold-fill jewelry is a great alternative to solid gold, as it offers the ideal balance of quality and value.
* There may be a slight seam on gold filled or rose gold filled rings. While we make every effort to try to minimize the appearance of the seam there are limitations to working with gold-filled metals that do not allow us to completely file the seam away.
First off, the communication from this company has been superb. I will take full responsibility that I didn’t read the return policy or the other review before purchasing this ring. However, this is the most uncomfortable ring I’ve ever encountered. The edges are so sharp (which is what the other review states) that it’s not wearable. We’re talking, break skin and draw blood kind of sharp. If you’re considering this ring, please think before purchasing. I’m now poorer $70 and richer a Star of David ring, that I’ll never wear, that could moonlight as a deathly ninja star and take out enemies with its points.. and no option to return the aforementioned ninja star weapon ring.. 🤷♀️
The ring is a bit darker in real life than it is in person! just so you know but the only thing is the points of the star are VERY VERY VERY sharp. No matter what finger you put it on, I have drawn blood from this ring poking into my skin. I would say please make the points a little more rounded or file down. Very sad im not too sure how often id like to wear this for that reason, I even had my guy friend feel the points and he was very alarmed at the sharpness, feels like the tip of a knife:/
